Nina, Razmik and Hrak, 8-10/7
During our free day, we went to the
beach in Sitges, where we got to explore the local gay scene. We drank sangría
and tried tapas. We spent the afternoon at the beach where we built a
magnificent sand castle. We also rented a boat (pedalo) which fortunately Anton
did not manage to sink.
The next day, we went back to our
usual routine at the cave : cutting trees and sticks for Raz and Nina, digging
in front of the cave for Hrak. During the afternoon, we cleaned a large number
of materials – many of which were rabbit bones. In the evening, we played a
chair game during which we created our own version of human towers – maybe more
improvisation than castellers but not as much stability.
On July 10th, big news : Hrak
joined the team to cut trees because apparently he ‘likes it very much’. The
mystery behind this love of saws and plants is still to be discovered. Dani
decided to give a lesson about mud wars by attacking Alvaro, Nina and the whole
camp in order to get ready for the final mud battle tomorrow. This mud battle
was followed by a water war at school, where Pablo attacked Nina without any
notice by splashing twice her clean clothes.
In the afternoon we went to
Eramprunya castle. We admired the beautiful landscape as well as the Depth of
the archeological site. But on the way back, a terrible tragedy happened: Hrak
got lost in the forest, alongside with Marc, Antonios and Argyrios. Argyrios
flip flop broke, and they had to fix it so they could move on. Tragic times
call for desperate measures: they started to collect berries for their dinner,
to look for a shelter in caves, and to make sílex to hunt rabbits. Dani, Eli
and Raz wandered in the woods for an hour to find them but fortunately everyone
found their way back home.
